Margaret Therrell Chisholm Fallaw

Mrs. Margaret Chisholm Fallaw, age 95, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Friday, May 12, 2017 at Brown Springs Baptist Church by Rev. Donnie Faulkenbury and Rev. Teddie Moore with burial to follow in the Mount Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Friday, prior to the service at the church, and other times at the home of Troy and Betty Chisholm.

Mrs. Fallaw was born August 19, 1921 in Newberry, SC a daughter of the late Lester Huntley Therrell and Bessie Louis Crabtree Therrell. She was a homemaker and faithful member of Brown Springs Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. Mrs. Fallaw enjoyed gardening, but her greatest passion was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was also preceded in death by two husbands, Woodrow Wilson Chisholm and Bondell “Curly” Fallaw; 2 sons, Marion Chisholm and James Carroll “Richard” Chisholm; step-son, Clyde Fallaw; siblings, Lynwood Therrell, Mildred Taylor, Glennie Walters, L.H. Therrell, Marcell Jones, and Willie Loyd Therrell; daughter-in-law, Maxine Chisholm; sons-in-law, Barney Hudson, Jr., Bill Byrd, and Mike Rivers.

Survivors include her children, Jessie I. Chisholm of Patrick, SC, Henrietta (Darrell) Hendrix, Charlie L. (Debra) Chisholm, Eva Hudson, Janie Byrd Rivers all of Hartsville, SC, and Troy L. (Betty) Chisholm of Patrick, SC; step-children, Janice, Buddy, and Beverly Fallaw; 41 grandchildren; 69 great grandchildren; numerous great – great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Agape Hospice for the love and care shown to Mrs. Fallaw during her illness.
