Mr. Aaron Alvin "P-Nut" McCathern, age 64, entered into rest on Monday, December 3, 2018. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Almetta Baptist Church by Pastor Thomas Thacker, Rev. Johnny McCathern, and Rev. Tyler McCathern with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Mr. McCathern was born April 16, 1954 in Bishopville, SC a son of the late Ernest Alvin and Dolly Mae Outen McCathern. He was an employee of 46 years with Kendall Mills-Wateree Plant of Camden, SC and a member of Almetta Baptist Church. His hobbies included woodworking, carpentry, camping, and riding his golf cart.
In addition to his parents, Aaron was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Ernestine Burchum, Linda Gainey, and Mary Sue O’Neal, and 3 infant brothers.
Survivors include his son, Rev. Aaron Johnny (Angela) McCathern of Mt. Croghan, SC; 2 daughters, Tammy (Ricky) Huggins of Jefferson, SC, and Crystal (Deryck) King of Mt. Croghan, SC; and their mother, Dianne Mangum of Jefferson, SC; grandchildren, Andrew (Kalli) Huggins, Michael (Bekkah) Huggins, Tyler (Kayla) McCathern, Breanne McCathern, Abigail McCathern, Destiny Smothers, Sierra Smothers, and Isaiah Smothers; 13 great grandchildren; and sister, Sarah McCathern of Hartsville, SC.
