FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Cheraw Church of God

INTERMENT: will follow in the Old St. David's Cemetery, Cheraw, SC

VISITATION: is 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, November 30, 2012 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, 318 E. Main Street, Chesterfield, SC 29709

HISTORY: Mr. Pierce was born March 27, 1926 in Timmonsville, SC a son of the late Oliver Bloomfield and Lena Goude Pierce. He was a retired employee of Palmetto Brick Company, and a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, where he was the recipient of the Bronze Star and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a faithful member of Cheraw Church of God, where he served as Chairman of the Usher Committee for numerous years, and was made an honorary lifetime member of the committee. He was also the Boy Scout Troop 656 Leader through the Cheraw Church of God for many years. Albert was also a member of the American Legion Five Oaks Post 23 in Cheraw, SC, a member of the VFW Post 10731, and a member of the AMVETS Post 177 in Wallace, SC. In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Pierce; Infant twin daughters; 2 sisters; 6 brothers; and a great-great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Leigh Brigman.

3 Daugthers: Margaret A. (Tommy) Pegues of Lancaster, SC, Linda (Donnie) Gulledge of Morristown, TN, and Rebecca Sellers of Wallace, SC
1 Brother: Woodrow Pierce of Laurinburg, NC
1 Sister: Marie "Mable" Anderson of Cheraw, SC
Also: 7 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren
