Amber Lynn Horton

Funeral services for Ms. Amber Lynn Horton, 18, who entered into rest on June 20, 2019, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church, Jefferson, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with a balloon release. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home is caring for the family.

Amber was born in Florence, SC on August 3, 2000. She was a loved daughter, sister, cousin & friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her dad. She also spent a majority of her time with her best friend, Haley; traveling on a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico to skiing in Ghent, WV. Amber was so caring, funny, independent and most of all sassy. She had a love for a variety of music, animals and crafts. Growing up Amber was surrounded by her brother & cousins, building forts and filling the house with balloons. Most of her family would say that Amber had a sense of humor that could bring you to tears and she was the highlight of every family gathering.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Marie Gainey Horton; maternal grandmother, Betty Elizabeth Dixon Gainey; aunts, Norma Jean Gainey, Patsy Gilbert; great uncle, Wayne Turnage.
