Ann Eleanor Hill Stromberg

Chesterfield, SC

Mrs. Ann Eleanor Hill Stromberg, age 76, (formerly of Clio, SC) entered into rest on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 5:00 PM Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Forest Pine Church by Pastor Danny Malloy. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

Mrs. Stromberg was born April 6, 1942 in Bennettsville, SC a daughter of Shula Greene Hill and the late Boyd S. Hill, Sr. Ann began her working career as a licensed beautician, then as a Teacher’s Aide with special needs children. Following that she was a bookkeeper with John Deere, then attained her degree to become a respiratory therapist and licensed cardio pulmonary technician.

Ann was a faithful member of Forest Pine Church and served as an officer with the Clio Rescue Squad for many years. Following their retirement, Ann worked along side her husband at the Cheraw State Park Campground and met many new friends there. In her spare time, she enjoyed arts and crafts.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Gene Stromberg of the home; children, Debbie (David) Carpenter of Conway, SC, Michael Eugene Stromberg of Beaufort, SC, Keith Richard (Casey) Stromberg of Mullins, SC, and Scott E. (Susan) Stromberg of Bennettsville, SC; grandchildren, Katie (Seth) Carter, and Courtney Carpenter both of Conway, SC, Holden Stromberg of TN, Mary Keith (John) Kinard of Bennettsville, SC, Lane Stromberg of Chesterfield, SC, Elizabeth Stromberg of Florence, SC, Matthew Stromberg of TN, and Caiti Brigman of Bennettsville, SC; great grandchildren, Caiden, Colton, Jasper, Grant, and John Alan; mother, Shula Greene Hill of Cheraw, SC; brother, Boyd S. Hill, Jr. of Bennettsville, SC; and niece, Jennifer Ann Marcy of Daytona Beach, FL.
