Miss Arlene Elizabeth Cassidy, age 50, entered into rest on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at her home. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Lower Macedonia Memorial Gardens by Pastor Donnie Driggers. The family will greet friend following the service at the cemetery.

Due to the continued COVID-19 risks, we ask that you practice social distancing at all times and refrain from any physical contact. The family would like for all attending the service to please wear a face covering. For those who are unable to attend, the service will be streamed live on the Miller Rivers Caulder Funeral Home Facebook page.

Miss Cassidy was born July 23, 1970 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Carlton Randall and Linda Rose Gibson Cassidy. She was a graduate of Cheraw High School, Class of 1990. Arlene formerly worked for Ina Bearing – Plant 2, Stanley Tools, and Burlington Industries. A loving daughter, she was very close to her mom and dad, and was a devoted caregiver to her mom until her passing. Arlene was an avid reader and enjoyed shopping, and going to eat with friends. She had a very special place in her heart for her 4-legged “Babies.”

In addition to her parents, Miss Cassidy was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Tommy & Atha Gibson, and Carson & Pauline White Cassidy; aunts, Faye Rivers, Agnes Butler, and Delores C. Moore; and uncle, B.C. Cassidy.

Survivors include her life-long companion, Sam Polson; step-brother, Shane (Mandy) Ard of Rockingham, NC; step-nephews, Brock Ard, and Bryson Ard; aunts, Margaret Hunt of Chesterfield, SC, Carolyn (Tom) Parker of Jacksonville, FL, Joann (Woody) Evans of Lexington, SC; uncles, Roger Cassidy of Cheraw, SC, and Larry Cassidy of Maggie Valley, NC; numerous cousins including Tracie (Scott) Douglas of Society Hill, SC, Luann (Jack) Hammond of Chesterfield, SC, and Beverly (Todd) McCormick of Chesterfield, SC; and her beloved dog, “Tippie.”
