Mrs. Barbara Ellen Reaves Barefoot, age 81, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 with her family by her side. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Kershaw City Cemetery by William Alford. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
Mrs. Barefoot was born April 19, 1941 in Kershaw County, a daughter of the late Willis J. “Shorty” and Mildred Myers Reaves. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, painting, and watching westerns.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reaves was also preceded in death by her husband, Carroll B. Barefoot; sister, Margaret Peggy Blackwell; and brother-in-law, CP Blackwell.
Survivors include her daughter, Carmen M. Gomez of Tennessee and grandchildren, Elizabeth Michelle (Shadi) Sharah and their children, Aya, Maya, Nadine, and Deema of Tennessee; James Neely Gray and his son Elijah Gray; and William Poteete all of Tennessee; Niece, Diane (Paul) Barton and their children, Jennifer (David) Williams and their son Burgin, Meg (Keith) Hinson and their children, Dalton and Ethan; caregiver and niece Rhonda Drew and her children and grandchildren, Ashley (John) Stephen, Tera, Mason, Marshall, and Aiden; and caregiver and niece, Tracie Slamcik.
Memorials may be made to the Mcleod Hospice House, 1203 E Cheves St, Florence, SC 29506.
