Barbara White Rivers

     Mrs. Barbara White Rivers, age 75, wife of the late John Samuel Rivers, Jr., entered into rest on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Saturday, December 28th, 2024 from the Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Dan Sullivan with burial to follow in the Rivers Family Cemetery within the Zoar Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. 

     Mrs. Rivers was born April 6, 1949 in Cheraw, SC a daughter of the late Sydney White. Barbara loved old movies from the 1930’s and 40’s. She was especially fond of Gone with the Wind. Barbara was an avid collector of diamond art pieces. Barbara was also a sports fan who enjoyed watching NASCAR and football; especially her Clemson Tigers. 

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rivers was also preceded in death by her husband, John Rivers, Jr.; and son, John Rivers, III. 

     Survivors include her Daughter, Christel Rivers of Rock Hill, SC; granddaughter, Cheyenne Elliot of Rock Hill, SC; siblings, Jean Bundy of Charlotte, NC, and Dexter White.
