DECEASED: Mrs. Barbara Jean Sikes, age 74, died Monday, April 14, 2014.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 4:00 P.M. Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Center Grove Baptist Church

INTERMENT: to follow in the Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

HISTORY: Mrs. Sikes was born January 24, 1940, in Chesterfield, SC, a daughter of the late James and Virginia Allen Melton. She was a retired employee of Sandpiper Knitting Company and a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Sikes loved animals, her dogs and cats, and most of all spending time with her granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Barbara Jean was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin "Pamp" Sikes; 2 brothers, J.P. and Buster Melton, and 2 sisters, Vivian Brown and Margie Melton.

1 Granddaughter: Madison Grace "Gracie" Roscoe of Mt. Croghan, SC
2 Brothers: Tommy Melton of Chesterfield, SC and Charles (Jean) Melton of Pageland, SC
