MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Grace Baptist Church, Pageland, SC

VISITATION: immediately following the service at the church

HISTORY: Mr. Blackmon was born December 15, 1934 in Clover, SC a son of the late Roy Franklin and Reba Mae Turner Blackmon. He was a former employee of Williamette Industries and a former Sergeant with Pageland Police Department. Mr. Blackmon was an U.S. Army Veteran and attended Grace Baptist Church. He was a true family man, who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and riding them around. In addition to his parents, Ben was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bob and Ralph Blackmon.

Wife of 55 years: Myrtle Edwards Blackmon of the home
2 Sons: David F. Blackmon and Mark C. Blackmon both of Pageland, SC
1 Daugther: Sherry (Ricky) Hancock of Mt. Croghan, SC
2 Brothers: Henry (Faye) Blackmon of Pageland, SC, and Walt (Martha) Blackmon of Georgia
2 Sisters: Barbara (Mikey) Barrett of Jefferson, SC, and Brenda (Joe) Hubalek of Texas
5 Grandchildren: Ashley Hancock, Erika (Michael) Horne, Chris Blackmon, Amanda Blackmon, and Tyler Blackmon
1 Great Grandson: Bryson Horne
