Mr. Benjamin Franklin “Frank” McKnight, age 95, formerly of Chesterfield, SC, entered into rest on Saturday, December 30, 2017. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Julian Cato and Rev. Burley Moore with burial to follow in the Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. McKnight was born June 27, 1922 in Rockingham, NC a son of the late James Clifton and Carrie McKnight. He was a retired textile employee and a member of Oakland Baptist Church. After moving to Travelers Rest, he enjoyed attending North Fork Baptist Church with his daughter. Frank loved the Lord, his family, and his church.
In addition to his parents, Frank was also preceded in death by his wives, Annie B. McKnight, and Iris Turner McKnight; and son, Dennis Clifton McKnight; brothers, Dan, Jimmy, Tom, Allen, and Wade McKnight; and sisters, Dorothy Mae McKnight Horne, and Carol Edwards.
Survivors include his children, Von (Glenda) McKnight of Mocksville, NC, and Dale (Tommy) Perry of Travelers Rest, SC; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews.
