HISTORY: Mr. Hayes was born February 8,, 1947 in Jefferson, SC, a son of the late Albert and Sadie Mae Airington Hayes. He was a former Furniture Factory employee and attended Almetta Baptist Church. Berle enjoyed gardening, selling produce, and talking with people. In addition to his parents, Berle was also preceded in death by his first wife Betty Joe Sexton Hayes; four brothers, Arthur Lee, Bobby, Jimmy, and Joe Hays; and by a sister, Ann Robertson.
