Mrs. Bessie Mae Driggers Teal, age 76, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 11, 2018 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Phillip Caulder, Jr., Brent Taylor, and the eulogy will be delivered by Gloria Lewis with burial to follow in the Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends immediately following the committal service and at other times at the home.
Mrs. Teal was born May 13, 1941 in Wallace, NC a daughter of the late Harden and Meater Kelly Driggers. She was a graduate of Wallace High School and retired employee of Delta Mills with 41 years of service. Mrs. Teal was a life-long member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Bessie Mae enjoyed shopping, traveling, and going on cruises.
In addition to her parents, Bessie Mae was also preceded in death by her brother, Allen Fred Driggers.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, James M. Teal of the home; sister-in-law, Patsy K. Driggers of Wallace, SC; Niece, Myra Driggers Levine and husband, Bobby of Murrells Inlet, SC; great nephew, Austin Smith; and great-great niece, Callie Marie Smith.
