Betty Coulson

Mrs. Betty Zane Coulson, age 75, died Saturday, August 20, 2016. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel by Phillip Caulder, Jr. with burial to follow in the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:00 – 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Coulson was born July 7, 1941 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Melvin Lee “Tom” Stafford and Allie Mae Lewis Stafford. She owned and operated Coulson’s Cleaning Service for many years and was a former employee of Chesterfield Manufacturing and Carolina Restaurant. Betty enjoyed working in her yard, antiquing, and planning and hosting parties.

In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her sister, Sara Bell Price.

Survivors include her life partner and companion, Mike Davis of the home; 1 daughter, Debbie Hanna (Julian) Stewart of Florence, SC; 1 son, Joseph A. (Gina Bryant) Hanna of Cheraw, SC; 3 grandchildren, Stefanie Stewart (Mark) Despagni of Raleigh, NC, Deidre Stewart of Phoenixville, PA, and Kersey Hanna of Bennettsville, SC; 1 sister, Carolyn (Ted) Crowley of Cheraw, SC.
