Betty Gardner Lewis

Mt. Croghan, SC

     Mrs. Betty Gardner Lewis, age 74, entered into rest on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Douglas Mill Baptist Church by Pastor Gerald Rivers and Reverend Ricky Malloy, Jr. with burial to follow in the Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday, prior to the service at the church.

    Mrs. Lewis was born May 27, 1950 in Marlboro County, SC a daughter of the late Gordon Garrison and Lula May Privette Gardner. Mrs. Betty was a faithful member of Douglas Mill Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed traveling and she often went on trips to attend gospel singings. Mrs. Lewis was a talented seamstress and she enjoyed sewing when she was able. Mrs. Lewis had a love of animals; especially her beloved puppy, Sweetie.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lewis was also preceded in death by her late husband, Larry Lewis; first husband, Donald Rollins; siblings, Margaret Kinley, and John Gardner.

     Survivors include her children, Doug (Shannon) Jordan of Hartsville, SC, Jeanette (Joe) Spencer of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Cassie (Dalton) Price of Florence, SC, Gracie Jordan of Hartsville, SC, Joseph Spencer of Cheraw, SC, Eddie (Anna) Spencer of Patrick, SC; and brother, Billy (Linny) Gardner of Chesterfield, SC.
