Betty Hancock Morris

Ruby, SC

          Mrs. Betty Hancock Morris, age 73, entered into rest on Friday, August 26, 2022. Funeral services will be 5:00 PM Monday, August 29, 2022 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Harold Cooke with burial to follow in the White Oak Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:00 PM Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

          Mrs. Morris was born December 22, 1948 in Ruby, SC a daughter of the late Paul Blease and Lillie Mae Pigg Hancock. She was a retired employee of Hornwood Manufacturing with over 28 years of service and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed canning and working in her flowers, but above all else, spending time with her granddaughters.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morris was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dewey Morris; and brother, Ronnie Hancock.

          Survivors include her children, Denise (Tim) Davis, and Cheryl Morris of Ruby, SC; grandchildren, Brittany Davis, Amber Davis, Lillian Creech, and Alyssa Creech; sister, Linda Dutton of Mt. Croghan, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

          The family would like to express a very special thank you to the staff of Cheraw Healthcare and McLeod Health – Cheraw for the love and care provided to Mrs. Morris.

          Memorials may be made to Douglas Mill Baptist Church, 1925 Douglas Mill Church Road, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
