Betty Jo Price

Jefferson, SC

          Mrs. Betty Jo Price, age 80, entered into rest on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at her home. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Bethel Baptist Church by Pastor Curtis Laney and Bro. Ralph Price with burial to follow in the Jefferson Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM Wednesday, prior to the service at the church.

          Mrs. Price was born June 29, 1943 in Jefferson, SC a daughter of the late Broadus and Betty Rollings Boatwright. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Betty Jo was a former employee of Freeman’s Video in Jefferson for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her flowers and traveling to Myrtle Beach with her family.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Price was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Marshall Oliver.

          Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Tommy Price of the home; sons, Richard (Saundra) Price, Jamie Price, and Stacey (Paula) Price all of Jefferson, SC; grandchildren, Brandon (Amanda) Price, Matthew (Kristi) Price, Kyle Price, and Zack Price; great grandchildren, Morgan, Kaylee, Braden, Caitlyn, Bree, Farrah, Chelsea; great-great grandchildren, Carson, and Raelynn; step-children, Timothy (Monica) Price, Jimmy Brock, Candy (Danny) Chandler; step-grandchildren, Kendall Price, Cameron Price, Alexa Burr, Alisha Kiser, and Tara Hall; step-great grandchildren, Kyngston, Liam, Hudson, Ethan, Emily, Michael; siblings, Bud (Jeanette) Boatwright of Florence, SC, Brenda Oliver of Jefferson, SC, Phyllis Boatwright(Paul Weller) of Rougemont, NC, Robin (Carol) Boatwright of Jefferson, SC, and Patsy (Scott) Lester of Stokesdale, NC; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
