Betty Sue Funderburk Quick

Society Hill, SC 

Mrs. Betty Sue Funderburk Quick, age 71, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 12, 2024 at her home. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Monday, July 15, 2024 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor. The committal service will follow in the Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens officiated by her nephew, Jeff Chandler. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Quick was born February 7, 1953 in Society Hill, SC a daughter of the late Abraham “Abe” and Rebecca Moease Gainey Funderburk. A dedicated homemaker, Betty Sue was a loving wife, devoted mother, and proud grandmother who loved her family dearly. She was a faithful pastor’s wife, always supporting her husband in the ministry. She was a member of Edwards Chapel Baptist Church. Betty Sue enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, adding to her collection of trinkets, and most importantly finding time for a good nap! 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Quick was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Funderburk Redmond; and her father-in-law & mother-in-law, E.T. and Doris Quick.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 53 years, Reverend Johnny Quick of the home; children, Chris (Debbie) Quick, Johnny (Rachel Jane) Quick, II, and Sierra (Jeremy) Broach all of Society Hill, SC; grandchildren, Christopher Quick, Kaylee Quick, Caleb Quick, Hannah (Peyton) Mixon, Hailey Quick, Hayden Quick, Haven Quick, Hadley Quick, Teal Broach, Presleigh Broach, Lexie Broach, and Colt Broach; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Helen Winburn of Hartsville, SC, Jean Funderburk of Darlington, SC, and Patricia (Moon) Bazen of Darlington, SC; and sister of the heart, Phyllis Lewis of Hartsville, SC.
