Mrs. Betty Jo Lewis Teal, age 85, entered into rest on Sunday, January 7, 2018. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Phillip Caulder, Jr. with burial to follow in the Westfield Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Teal was born February 14, 1932 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late John and Dele Odom Lewis. She was a retired employee of Chesterfield Webbing with over 40 years of service. A former member of Bay Springs Baptist Church, Betty Jo enjoyed working in her yard, and freezing and canning vegetables from her garden.

In addition to her parents, Betty Jo was also preceded in death by her husband, Baxter Teal; brother, John Robert Lewis; sister, Kathryn Lewis Teal Fulton; and special nephew, David William Teal.

Survivors include her daughter, Jean Teal (Steve) Treadaway of Patrick, SC; brothers, Billy Lewis of Chesterfield, SC and Jerry (Cathy) Lewis of Cheraw, SC; 2 grandchildren, Scotty (Nicole) Treadaway of Ft. Mill, SC, and Ian Webber of Patrick, SC; 2 great grandchildren, Madalyn and Brayden; also numerous nieces and nephews.

The family of Mrs. Teal would like to express their thanks to special caregivers, Alodia Gainey and Rebecca Mills for their much needed and appreciated support.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
