Beverly Rummage Ables

Ms. Beverly Louise Rummage Ables, age 74, passed peacefully in her sleep on December 28, 2021, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC, after a brief illness. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 31, 2021 at Ellerbe Cemetery (304 Millstone Rd. Ellerbe, NC) by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Ms. Ables was born on October 25, 1947 in Pinehurst, NC a daughter of the late Johnny Ray and Dorothy Louise Robbins Rummage. Beverly served her community as a nurse, retiring after many years working at Chesterfield General Hospital, Cheraw Convalescent Center, and various doctors’ offices. Accepting her role of family matriarch very seriously, she enjoyed cooking for and taking care of her family.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was also predeceased by an infant sister, Donna Ray Rummage, and her special friend, Dairl Sellers.

Surviving are her brothers, Ricky (Betty) Rummage of Wallace, SC, and Daryl (Vickie) Rummage of Bennettsville, SC; step-children, Mike (Lois) Ables and Cheryl Ables both of Baltimore, MD, along with numerous nephews and nieces whom she loved as her own.
