Billy Joe Griggs

Mr. Billy Joe “Joey” Griggs, age 57, entered into rest on Monday, November 12, 2018. Graveside services will be 12:00 PM Friday, November 16, 2018 at Patrick Cemetery by Rev. Jerry Gainey. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Griggs was born October 31, 1961 a son of Donald E. “Bud” Griggs and the late Betty Jo Ratliff Griggs. He was a self-employed pipe fitter and an employee of Patrick General Store. Joey enjoyed working and cooking.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Griggs was also preceded in death by his brother, Buddy Griggs.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Blanche Ferguson of Patrick, SC; 2 daughters, T.J. Griggs of Hartsville, SC, and Leslie Quick of Whiteville, NC; step-sons, Matthew Ferguson and Tyler Ferguson of Hartsville, SC; father, Bud Griggs of Patrick, SC; brothers, Bo Griggs of Lake City, SC, and Ronnie Griggs of Patrick, SC.
