Mr. Billy Teal Sellers, age 84, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 only hours after his beloved wife, Mildred. Their funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 18, 2021 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by their friend and pastor, The Honorable Rep. Reverend Richie Yow. A private interment service will follow in the Sandy Plains United Methodist Church Cemetery, Morven, NC. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Due to COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. We also ask all guests and family members attending visitations and services to please continue social distancing and face coverings are strongly encouraged.
Mr. Sellers was born March 31, 1937 in Pageland, SC a son of the late Lonnie Carson Sellers and Carrie Jane Hancock Sellers. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving two tours during the Berlin Crisis, and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Sellers was a retired employee of Burlington Industries and a member of North Cheraw Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Billy was also preceded in death 8 hours earlier by his beloved wife, Mildred Moore Sellers; and his brothers, David L. Sellers, Gerald Sellers, Lawson Sellers, Glenn Sellers.
Survivors include his sisters, Mamie Newton, and Mary Katherine Meredith of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Margie Ruth Hart of MO; numerous nieces and nephews; and his friend and pastor, Rev. Richie (Crystal) Yow of Cheraw, SC.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff and administration of Inlet Oaks Assisted Living Community for the love and care shown to Mr. & Mrs. Sellers.
