Mr. Bobby F. Johnson, age 85, entered into rest on Saturday, February 2, 2019. Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Cross Roads Baptist Church by Dr. Rick Henderson, Dr. Troy Rogers, and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 3:00 – 4:00 PM prior to the service in the Cross Roads Family Life Center.

Mr. Johnson was born August 15, 1933 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late Rufus and Kate Thurman Johnson. He was a retired employee of Aviagen with over 35 years of service and a life-long farmer. A faithful member of Cross Roads Baptist Church, Bobby served on numerous church committees and boards throughout the years.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was also preceded in death by 1 son, Eddie Joe “Joey” Johnson; brothers, Grady Johnson and Keith Johnson; and sister, Margaret J. Hinson.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 63 years, Doris Gulledge Johnson; son, Bobby “Allison” (Melissa) Johnson of Ruby, SC; granddaughter, Brittany Faith Johnson; brother, Mickey (Pat) Johnson of Monroe, NC; sister-in-law, Shirley Johnson of Mt. Croghan, SC, Renee Helms of Monroe, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved and treated as his own children.
