INTERMENT: will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Pageland, SC
VISITATION: 2:00 - 3:00 PM Friday, August 29, 2014 prior to the service at the funeral home
HISTORY: Mrs. Parks was born November 17, 1944 in Columbus, GA a daughter of the late Shelton Gaston Huguley and Bernice H. Plyler. She was a graduate of Pageland High School, and the former owner and operator of Dollar Discount of Pageland and Fashion Outlet of Chesterfield. Her favorite pastime was reading. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her son, William R. "Trey" Melton, III, and by a brother, Mark Shelton Huguley.

Husband of 39 years: Webster "J.R." Parks, Jr. of the home
1 Son: Michael L. (Kim) Parks of Tega Cay, SC
2 Grandchildren: Alan and Austin Parks
