Bryan E. Sellers

Jefferson, SC

          Mr. Bryan Edward Sellers, age 42, entered into rest on Saturday, August 26, 2023. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Ruby Baptist Church by Pastor Ronald Thurman and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Jefferson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Ruby Baptist Church, 23 Market Street, Ruby, SC.

          Bryan was born October 25, 1980 in Florence, SC a son of Nannie Lou Deese Sellers and the late Edward Augustus “Ebbie” Sellers. He was a 1999 graduate of New Covenant Christian School and received his tool and die technician degree from Northeastern Technical College. Bryan was a member of Ruby Baptist Church where he served on the security team. Following his passion of mentoring and developing young athletes, Bryan coached Jefferson Dixie Youth for many years and was the current head coach of the Carolina Sandlappers Baseball Team.

          Bryan received the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout and loved sharing those character traits with his son, Lex. He was a true shoe enthusiast and an avid South Carolina Gamecocks fan. Bryan also enjoyed working with and modifying his cars and was the proud owner of his dream car, the Toyota Supra. He had a special place in his heart for animals, and enjoyed taking Lex hunting along with “Fergi” the cat.

          Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Crystal Threatt Sellers of the home; 10-year-old son, Edward Alexander “Lex” Sellers; mother, Nannie Lou Sellers of the home; father-in-law, Richard E. “Ricky” Threatt of Jefferson, SC; mother-in-law, Tammy (Jerry) Withrow of Jefferson, SC; brothers-in-law, Kyle (Ashley) Threatt, and Jerry “Lil Jerry” Withrow, Jr. both of Jefferson, SC; and sister-in-law, Keysha O’Neal; nieces and nephews, Makayla O’Neal, Drake O’Neal, Kyleigh Threatt, and Kayden Threatt; brother of the heart, Trey Gaskins of Chesterfield, SC; in addition to numerous friends and extended family.

          A loving son, husband, and father, his memory will live continually!
