Bryan Gainey

Cheraw, SC

Mr. Bryan Keith Gainey, age 65, entered into rest on Thursday, March 24, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the old cemetery of Brock’s Mill Baptist Church by Pastor Mark Phillips. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Gainey was born September 2, 1956 in Darlington, SC a son of the late James and Daisy Angelene Sawyer Gainey. He was a former truck driver with Tucker Lumber Company and enjoyed attending Pine Grove Baptist Church. Bryan enjoyed watching football, westerns, and collecting model 18-wheelers. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed following Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gainey was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Rivers Gainey; and brothers, Bruce Damon Gainey, and Bobby Carl Gainey.

Survivors include his daughter, Meagan Pierce of Timmonsville, SC; grandson, Aidan Lewis of Timmonsville, SC; step-daughters, Crystal (Chris) Brock, and Charlene (Larry) Blackmon; step-grandchildren, Clayton (Sera) Brock, Cole Brock, Kayla Blackmon, Avery Blackmon, Sara Rylee Blackmon, and Matt Reep; multiple step great-grandchildren; numerous cousins; and very special friend, Diane Martin.
