Bryan L. "Cornbread" Wallace

Cheraw, SC

          Mr. Bryan L. “Cornbread” Wallace, age 65, entered into rest on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at his home. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Sunday, January 29, 2023 at North Cheraw Baptist Church by Pastor Jeremy Moser, Reverend Mike Williams, and the Honorable Rep. Reverend Richie Yow with burial to follow in the Westfield Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM Sunday prior to the service at the church.

          Mr. Wallace was born May 12, 1957 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Jesse Leon and Azaline Lee Wallace. He was an avid sports fan who pulled for the super bowl champion L.A. Rams football team. He grew up attending Westfield Creek Baptist Church and was always able to recite the Royal Ambassador motto from memory.

          In addition to his parents, Mr. Wallace was also preceded in death by his sister, Kay Lloyd.

          Survivors include his sister, Yvonne Simpson of Cheraw, SC; son, Jesse Ray (Rachel) Chapman of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Raylan Chapman and Kaley Peninger; step-mother, Martha Wallace of McColl, SC; aunts, Ellen Tyner, Gladys Grooms, and Annie Mae Johnson all of Cheraw, SC; uncle, James A. “Duce” Wallace of Cheraw, SC; nieces, Stacey Jones, Marie Lloyd, Ashley O’Neal; nephew, Brent Sweatt; great nieces, Emma Jones, Brynn Sweatt, Anzleigh O’Neal, Chloee Sweatt; great nephews, Jesse Jones, Ashton White, and Levi O’Neal.
