Ruby, SC Mr. Carlton A. "Buddy" Hundley, Jr. age 84, entered into rest on Thursday, January 17, 2019. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Ruby Baptist Church. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the church.
Mr. Hundley was born January 23, 1934 in Portsmouth, VA a son of the late Carlton Albert Hundley, Sr. and Margaret Aileen Piland Hundley. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a retired Auto Wholesaler with over 45 years of service. Buddy loved real estate and bought and sold many homes through the years. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Hundley's hobbies included training bird dogs, hunting, and buying and selling shotguns. He enjoyed walking his dogs out in the fields and woods and many of the dogs he trained over the past 50 years won local and national field trial competitions. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends from traveling to the mountains for hunting trips with his buddies to spending time at the beach. Buddy enjoyed the 15 years he lived on the Outer Banks and the friendships made there.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hundley was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Angelia "Judy" Hundley who passed November 20, 1999; and brothers, Michael Lee Hundley, and Timothy John Hundley.
Survivors include his children, Bret (Martha) Hundley, and Greg (Diana) Hundley; grandchildren, Bryson, Nick, Tyler, and Rachael; brother, Jerry Ray Hundley; and a host of friends.
