FUNERAL SERVICE: 4:00 PM, Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Wallace, SC
INTERMENT: will follow in the church Cemetery
VISITATION: 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
HISTORY: Mr. Hatcher was born March 13, 1926 in Wallace, SC a son of the late Simmie and Vera Guinn Hatcher. He was a retired truck driver with 36 years of service, having worked with Associated Transport, Mercury Motor Freight, and Spartan Express. Carnell was an avid farmer and tractor and lawn mower mechanic. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a member of AMVETS, and a member of WOW Lodge 966. Mr. Hatcher was a lifelong faithful member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, where he had served on various committees. In addition to his parents, Carnell was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Cumber Hatcher; a granddaughter, Alison Ard; three brothers, Otis, James and Simmie Hatcher, Jr.; and a sister, Ruth Knight.

1 Great Grandchild: Emily Thomas
2 Sisters: Margaret Coleman of Ramseur, NC and Nellie Kurin of Rockingham, NC
