Carol Adams

Mrs. Carol P. Adams, age 78, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 24, 2016. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Thursday, October 27, 2016 at David’s Grove Baptist Church by Pastor William Lewis and Pastor Scott Adams with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Thursday, prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Adams was born November 24, 1937 in Marion, VA a daughter of the late Edward Martin and Enice Dolinger Pruitt. She was a retired employee of Burlington Industries with 34 years of service. Mrs. Adams was a faithful member of David’s Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed attending The Living Word when she could. She was very active in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Seniors Ministry and served as former coordinator. Carol enjoyed cooking, talking on the phone with her family and friends, and attending the family reunions in Virginia. She will be remembered as a lady who was always on the go and a true friend to all.

In addition to her parents, Carol was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Charles Perry Adams; and her infant son, Edward Perry Adams.

Survivors include her children, Timothy (Ruth) Adams, Rev. Scott (Lani) Adams, Tammy (Salvador) Mondragon all of Chesterfield, SC, Charlene (Donald) Nelson of Wilmington, NC, and James (Lena) Adams of Calabash, NC; grandchildren, Julia (Rayme) Mudd, Steven (Amy) James, Seth Adams, Craig Overstreet, Brendan Adams, Alisia Mondragon, David Adams, Gary (Jennifer) Adams, and Mark (Kim) Nelson; 1 sister, Peggy Peak of Marion, VA, 2 brothers, Hubert (Rita) Pruitt of Texas, and Jerry (Frances) Pruitt of Chesterfield, SC; also numerous nieces and nephews.
