          Mrs. Carolyn Elizabeth Price, age 84, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, May 21, 2023 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Jamie Gulledge with burial to follow at Mt Moriah Baptist Church in Marshville, NC. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

          Mrs. Price was born March 23, 1939 in Marshville, NC a daughter of the late Ethel Rorie and C.C. Smith. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she never met a stranger. Carolyn was a member of Brock’s Mill Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, painting, crafts, sewing, crocheting, fishing, and traveling to the beach. Carolyn enjoyed going on shopping trips with her special buddy Heather Short. Carolyn never passed up an opportunity to go to the flea market or to the bargain basket.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Price was also preceded in death by her brother; Billy Smith; sister, Mary “Mamie” Moses; nephew, Donnie Price.

          Survivors include her husband, William “Pete” Frank Price Jr. of the home; children, William K. “Slick” (Teresa) Price of Ruby, SC, Brenda (Ronnie) Bentley, Kathy (Lonnie) Bentley both of Lenoir, NC; stepson, Bill Price of Mt. Croghan, SC; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; siblings, Sylvia (Ralph) Price, Shirley Rorie, Margaret Ashcraft; special niece, Patricia Lilly.
