Carolyn Tucker

DATELINE: Little River, SC (formerly of Charlotte, NC)

Carolyn Smith Tucker went to be with her Heavenly Father on February 22, 2013, and joined her family and friends that have passed before her. Carolyn was born August 12, 1923 in New Zion, SC to the late Daniel (Dink) and Pearl Tomlinson Smith. Her husband John Gary, her sisters Olivia (Bibbie) and Myrle and brothers, Dan and Aubrey have been waiting on her to join them.

Carolyn met her husband John Gary Tucker in Columbia, SC, and they were married August 3, 1946. They moved to Charlotte in 1952. They are Charter members of Eastern Hills Baptist Church in Charlotte where they were very active and held many jobs at the church. Carolyn has one son, Tim and his wife Debbie and grandsons Brett and Jason.

The family has been greatly blessed and appreciates the loving and caring staff in the Seasons at Summit Place in Little Rivers, SC. The entire staff treated Carolyn as part of their family.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel, 318 East Main Street, Chesterfield, SC. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Carolyn will be laid to rest at the Mt. Croghan Memorial Park, Mt. Croghan, SC.
