DECEASED: Mr. Charles D. Burch, age 76, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 after a sudden illness.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM, Monday, June 23, 2014 at Zoar United Methodist Church

INTERMENT: will follow in the Church Cemetery

VISITATION: is 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mr. Burch was born February 20, 1938 in Chesterfield, SC and was the son of the late Jim and Lois Douglas Burch. He was a lifelong resident of Chesterfield and a graduate of Chesterfield High School and the South Carolina Police Academy. Charles was a retired game warden with the South Carolina DNR. He was a former member of the SC National Guard and was a former member and Captain of the Chesterfield Rescue Squad. Mr. Burch was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church. Charles was a member of the Bo jangles Breakfast Crowd and an avid Blue Grass music fan. He loved cattle farming and going to cattle sales. Charles enjoyed spending time with family and friends and he never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, Charles was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth "Jackie" Eddins Burch, and by his sister-in-law, Elizabeth "Libby" Vaughn Eddins.

1 Daughter: Kim Burch (Andy) Gaskins of Chesterfield, SC
2 Grandchildren: Gracyn and Will Gaskins
Brother-in-law: Billy Thomas Eddins of Chesterfield, SC
Niece: Suzanne Eddins of Columbia, SC
