Charles Edward Kelly

Pageland, SC

 Mr. Charles Edward Kelly, age 80, entered into rest peacefully on Friday morning, December 13, 2024 at his home with his family by his side. A private graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

 Mr. Kelly was born February 17, 1944 in Lancaster, SC a son of the late Dewey William Kelly, Sr. and Ida Ruth Brown Kelly. He was a retired employee of Conbraco Industries with over 33 years of service. An avid outdoorsman, Charles enjoyed taking pride in his yard, from raking leaves to mowing, everything had to look perfect. He also enjoyed traveling to the mountains, fishing, and taking care of his guns. 

 In addition to his parents, Mr. Kelly was also preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Annie Mae Kelly; their son, Charles Wendell Kelly; great grandchildren, Natalie Atkinson and CeCe Atkinson; and siblings, Kathleen Elizabeth K. Metz, Emma Mae K. Cauthen, Sgt. Dewey William Kelly, Jr., Floyd Franklin Kelly, Sybil K. Sellers, Inez K. Starnes, and Archie J. Kelly.

 Survivors include his children, Sheila Rollings, and Cindy Kelly both of Pageland, SC; grandchildren, Wendy McGready, Camilla “Punkie” Hicks, Melissa Atkinson (Shane Jones), Tiffany “T” Hicks (Cody Caskey) all of Pageland, SC, Dwight (Flora) Atkinson of Marshville, NC; great grandchildren, Aubrey, Callie, Everly, Bryson, Hazel, Wyatt, and Dom; sister, Shirley K. Gay of Lancaster, SC; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet, “Prissy.”

 The family would like to express a special thank you to hospice nurses, Mary Beth and Jody of Agape Hospice of Lancaster for their excellent care and support provided to Mr. Kelly and the family.
