Charles Christopher “Chris” Griffin, 62, died Thursday, September 28, 2023, after an extended illness.
 
Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Paul P and Margaret B Griffin.
 
Chris was an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoyed playing and watching golf, basketball and football. There was never a time when sports wasn’t a part of his daily life. He was also a lover of dogs and never failed to have a treat in his pocket for his two favorites, Bella and Latté. Chris had a huge heart and was selfless in his actions. He would go above and beyond to help his loved ones and friends, doing all that he could for them. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
 
He is survived by three siblings, Lisa Griffin Schatz and her husband, Robert; Paul P. Griffin and his wife Jean Simmons Griffin; Anne Griffin Shaw and her husband Eric, nieces Annie and Gillian, nephews Douglas and Ryan and best friend, Tammy Barkley McCall.
 
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, in McFarlan, NC.
