FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 PM, Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Pageland Presbyterian Church

INTERMENT: to follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery

VISITATION: 2:00 — 3:00 PM, Wednesday, prior to the service in the church fellowship hall

HISTORY: Mr. Owens was born November 13, 1947 in Monroe, NC a son of the late Johnny L. and Beulah Mills Owens. He was a graduate of Wallace Rose Hill High School in Wallace, NC, and a retired produce manager with Publix Grocery chain. Mr. Owens was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. Barry always thought of others and helped to establish a food bank for the homeless and senior citizens in Nashville, TN. In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by his former wife, Olivia Yanez Owens and two brothers, Tony and Bill Owens.

1 Son: Allen Barry Owens of El Paso, TX
3 Daughters: Melissa Beth Pruitt and Christina Owens of Houston TX, and Stella Owens of El Paso TX
1 Brother: Ronald (Betty) Owens of Wallace, NC
3 Sisters: Betty (Dan) Mungo and Sue Mangum of Pageland, SC and Jean Hathaway of Matthews, NC
Also 5 Grandchildren

Funeral Service: 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Pageland Presbyterian Church.

Interment: will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
