HISTORY: Mr. Rivers was born March 13, 1940 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Carson Lucas and Grace Boan Rivers. He was a retired employee of Highland Industries with 46 years of service. Raymond was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, where he served as a former Lay Leader and Sunday school teacher. Mr. Rivers enjoyed travelling, spending time with his grandchildren, and horseback riding. He was affectionately known by his family as the "Horse Whisperer". In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Truett, Jessie, and Fred Rivers; and 1 sister, Margie Ray Landon.
