HISTORY: Mr. Rivers was born March 13, 1940 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Carson Lucas and Grace Boan Rivers. He was a retired employee of Highland Industries with 46 years of service. Raymond was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, where he served as a former Lay Leader and Sunday school teacher. Mr. Rivers enjoyed travelling, spending time with his grandchildren, and horseback riding. He was affectionately known by his family as the "Horse Whisperer". In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Truett, Jessie, and Fred Rivers; and 1 sister, Margie Ray Landon.

4 Grandchildren: Nathan Rivers, Jeremy Rivers, Katherine Rivers, and Daniel Rivers
1 Brother: Kenneth Rivers of Chesterfield, SC
1 Sister: Linda (Paul, III) Sellers of Chesterfield, SC
1 Sister-in-law: Sue Rivers of Chesterfield, SC
