Charles H. Sims

Mr. Charles H. Sims, age 66, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be 5:00 PM Saturday, December 26, 2020 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Johnny Tadlock. The family will greet friends from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Sims was born August 16, 1954 in Monroe, NC a son of the late Herman and Willie Faye Mullis Sims. He was a framer, working in construction for many years. He enjoyed fishing and growing his garden.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sims was also preceded in death by a brother, Bud Sims; sisters, Frances Kay Sims, and Martha Lynne Sims; niece, Jennifer Lee Sims; and nephew, Wesley Sims.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Viola H. Sims of the home; children, Charles Elliot Sims, Timothy Ellis (Tara) Sims both of Pageland, SC, and Joshua Lynn (Betty) Sims of PA; grandson, Thomas Cody Stegall; brother, Jerry Michael Sims of Hartsville, SC; sister, Becky Wright of Lumberton, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
