Charlie Heaton, Sr

CHERAW, S.C. — Charlie Thomas "Tommy" Heaton Sr., 63, of Cheraw, South Carolina, formerly of Rockingham, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016.
Tommy was born May 1, 1953 in Hamlet, son of Thomas Sanford Heaton and Beatrice Heaton Daniels.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shelia Heaton; daughter, Sherry Heaton; and grandson, J.T. Heaton.

Surviving are his wife, Julie Heaton and son, Gavin Quick of the home; son, Chuck Heaton and wife Kristen of Rockingham; sister, Aleane "PeeWee" Bunn and husband Wesley of Hamlet; stepdaughter, Kelynn Keith and husband Billy of Cheraw; stepson, Brandon Quick of Fort Bragg; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two nieces.

The family will be receiving friends and family from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at his home, 211 Pecan Drive, Cheraw, SC.
