DECEASED: Mr. Charlie M. "C.M." Rivers, Jr., age 77, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2007 surrounded by his loving family.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 4:00 PM, Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel

INTERMENT: will follow in the Brock's Mill Baptist Church cemetery.

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Tuesday at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mr. Rivers was born in Chesterfield County, SC on July 22, 1930, a son of the late Charlie M. and Minnie Brock Rivers. He was a retired employee of Delta Mills with 40 years of service. Charlie loved to fish, hunt, and tell stories, and also had a great passion for gardening. His greatest love was his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy and Robert Rivers, a sister Addie Stafford, and by two brothers Charles Ellison Rivers, and Wilson Rivers.

Wife of 57 years: Opal Marscelle Rivers of the home

4 Daughters: Kathy (Bryan) Gainey, Bonnie (Brooks) Boan, Teresa (Tim) Rivers, Michelle (Chris) Ross all of Cheraw, SC

Special Niece: Glennie (Manley) Hancock of Ruby, SC

7 Grandchildren: Charlene (Larry) Blackmon, Crystal (Chris) Brock, Anna Boan, Daniel Rivers, Bryant Rivers, Tyler Ross, and Samantha Ross.

6 Great Grandchildren: Clayton and Cole Brock, Matt, Kayla, Avery, and Sara Rylee Blackmon.

1 Sister: Irene Sellers of Cheraw, SC
