DECEASED: Mrs. Christine Roberts Warren, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 29, 2013 after a brief stay at Hospice House of Union County.

A CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE WILL BE 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Cheraw, SC

INTERMENT: will follow in the church cemetery

VISITATION: 12:30 - 1:30, prior to the service in the Church Fellowship Hall

HISTORY: Mrs. Warren was born September 9, 1926 in Kershaw County, SC to the late Spurgeon Joel Roberts and Helen Neal Roberts. She was a long time resident of Pineville, NC where she was employed by Cone Mills and Belk Department Stores. Christine enjoyed gardening and sewing while raising her family, and was an active member of Stough Memorial Baptist Church. In her later years, she volunteered at the Pineville Hot Lunch program as well as coordinating senior bingo games in local restaurants. In March 2009 Mrs. Warren relocated to Monroe, NC to live with her sister Elaine Smith and joined Emmanuel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, her husbands, George Wylie Broom, Lonnie "Bud" Boyd, and Charles Warren preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, A.J., and Neal Roberts.

3 Daughters: Shirley and Will Lockamy of Myrtle Beach, SC, Patricia and Bernie Lee of Boone, NC, and Jeannette and Alan Herring of Charlotte, NC
1 Son: Donnie and Nelda Broom of Marvin, NC
Also 7 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great , Great Grandchildren
1 Brother: Jesse Roberts and wife Betty
4 Sisters: Elaine Smith, Rebekah and Anson Jacobs, Neatus and Lawson Sellers, Sybil and Johnny Hill
Sister-in-law: Loretta Roberts
Also many Nieces and Nephews
