Ava Christy Braswell passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Greenville Memorial Hospital with her parents by her side.

She was a daughter of James Walker Braswell and Amy Sowell Braswell. Christy was born on August 17, 1972, at Anderson Memorial Hospital and she grew up in Clemson and Pendleton, SC. She was of the Baptist faith having been baptized at First Baptist Church of Clemson. She was a graduate of Pendleton High School and Clemson University. She took great pride in being born and raised a Clemson Tiger.

Following graduation from Clemson with a degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism she was employed by ARAMARK as Catering Manager for Clemson University.

Christy loved the beach, particularly Litchfield Beach, where she spent many summer vacations with family and friends. She loved her dogs and there were many over the years. Most of all, she loved her niece, Mattison and enjoyed spending time with her.

Christy is survived by her parents, her sister, Jessica Braswell (Josh Haney), and niece, Mattison Braswell. She had many aunts, uncles and cousins who she loved dearly and they loved her. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Jim & Katherine Braswell and her maternal grandparents, T.F. & Margaret Sowell.
