Connie Jean Oliver

Mrs. Connie Jean Oliver, age 71, entered into rest on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at her home with her family by her side. A Celebration of Life service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Grace and Mercy Worship Center by Pastor Sweet Jenkins and Rev. William Griggs with the eulogy being delivered by her granddaughter, Maygen Reece. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Sunday, March 29, 2020 prior to the service at the church and other times at the home.

Mrs. Oliver was born July 5, 1948 in Hartsville, SC a daughter of the late William Archie Griggs and Betty Parker Griggs Wilks. She was a retired employee of Springs Industries and a faithful member of Grace and Mercy Worship Center. She enjoyed traveling and camping especially to the beach with her family. Connie was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed singing and playing gospel music.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Tommy “T.O.” Oliver of the home; sons, Christopher Lee Jenkins, and David Robert “Robbie” (Hope) Jenkins, Jr. both of Jefferson, SC; daughter, Lisa Jenkins (Lane Johnson) Ray of Jefferson, SC; 8 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Rev. William (Onita) Griggs, Mark (Sheila) Griggs, Angelo (Carolyn) Griggs, and Jimmy Griggs; sisters, Patricia Ann Griggs and Gail Joplin.

The family is grateful for the loving service and support provided to Mrs. Oliver and her family by McLeod Hospice and requests that memorials be made to McLeod Hospice, P.O. Box 100551, Florence, SC 29501.
