VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mrs. Rivers was born Sept. 26, 1942 in Andrews, NC, a daughter of the late Wilburn and Nancy Cathy Owensby. She was a retired employee of Chesterfield Manufacturing. Cora was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a faithful member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church where she was a choir member and was involved in many church activities. Cora loved her church, her church family, loved gardening, and taking care of others. In addition to her parents, Cora was preceded in death by a son, Glenn E. Rivers, a grandson, Will Horne, 3 brothers, Walter, Ricky, and Coleman Owensby, and by a sister, Rachel O. Robertson.

6 Grandchildren: Brian (Stephanie) Rivers, Daniel Rivers, Christopher Hurst, Rebecca Rivers, A.J. Rivers, Evan Poolaw all of Chesterfield, SC
1 Great Grandson: Josh Rivers of Chesterfield, SC
2 Brothers: Andy (Judy) Owensby of Morganton, NC, and Harvey Owensby of Tennessee
3 Sisters: Helen O. Turner of Marietta, SC, Billie O. Rivers and Ruby O. White both of Andrews, SC
