PAGELAND - Cynthia Faye “Cindy” Pigg Collins, 62, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016.

Born in Monroe, N.C., she was a daughter of Billy and Bobbie Pigg of Pageland. Cindy was a graduate of Cheraw High School and worked at Carolina Canadian Lumber Company in Spartanburg as a bookkeeper. She was retired.

Cindy was a former member of Providence Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, cooking, gardening and fishing. She enjoyed attending NASCAR races, cheering the Carolina Panthers and spending time at the beach with her husband. She was an animal lover all her life, and her mom tells many stories of Cindy bringing home stray animals.

She is survived by her parents, listed above; her husband of 28 years, David Collins of the home; a daughter, Melissa Dawn Shrum of Conway; a son, Jon David Shrum and his wife, Dana, of Boiling Springs, SC; step-daughter, Gina Wooldrick and her husband, Joshua of Bull Head City, AZ; granddaughters Elisa Petty of Spartanburg and Stevie Rose Shrum of Boiling Springs; 1 step granddaughter, Addie Wooldrick; 2 step-grandsons, Klayton and Parker Wooldrick; and a brother, Farris Pigg, and his wife Jane, of Cheraw.

The family will receive friends any time on Friday or Saturday morning at her parents home, 27407 Highway 9, Pageland. A memorial service will be held at Providence Baptist Church on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at 4:00 p.m.
