DECEASED: Mrs. Cynthia Brooks Nolan, age 60, died Sunday, June 14, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Chesterfield Baptist Church

INTERMENT: will follow in the Chesterfield Cemetery

VISITATION: 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

HISTORY: Mrs. Nolan was born August 12, 1954, in Chesterfield, SC, a daughter of Lena Ratliff Brooks and the late Walter Leroy "June Bug" Brooks III. She was a graduate of Chesterfield High School, where she excelled in basketball. She also attended Chesterfield-Marlboro Tec., and was a former administrative assistant at INA USA. Cynthia was a former member of Chesterfield Baptist Church and attended C-4. She was an avid Gamecock fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and NASCAR. Cynthia was a true sports enthusiast, and loved watching all types of ball games. In addition to her father, Cynthia was also preceded in death by her brother, Walter M. "Mickey" Brooks.
