Dana Cullipher Joplin

Pageland, SC

          Mrs. Dana Cullipher Joplin, age 71, entered into rest on Thursday, January 26, 2023 surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Providence Baptist Church by Pastor David Bridwell and Dr. Roger Wall with the eulogy being delivered by John Adcock. The committal will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service in the church.

          Mrs. Joplin was born October 16, 1951 in Williamston, NC a daughter of the late James Leo and Shirley Davenport Cullipher. She was a retired employee of Ludwig Industries and a member of Providence Baptist Church. A lady who always had an eye for a bargain, Dana enjoyed shopping at thrift stores and yard sales. She also enjoyed playing card games, traveling to the beach, watching Chinese soap operas, and collecting jewelry. Of all things she enjoyed, spoiling her grandchildren was always a top priority.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Joplin was also preceded in death by her husband, Perry Joplin; sisters, Melinda Cullipher, and Roselyn Cullipher.

          Survivors include her children, Michelle (John) Adcock, Kimberly Walden both of Pageland, SC, Michael (Reba) Walden of Chesterfield, SC, and Teresa Walden of Lancaster, SC; grandchildren, Colby Adcock, Bryce Adcock, Arianna Drayton, Kiersyn “Ki-Ki” Drayton, Maddox Chambers, Amber Owens, Alyssa Mobley; great-grandchildren, Andrew Owens, and Richard Owens; sisters, Sharon Watson of Concord, NC, and Wanda Davis of Suffolk, VA; brother, Jamey Cullipher of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter of the heart, Jody (Jeffrey) Drummond of Gastonia, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
