VISITATION: is 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, Chesterfield, SC

HISTORY: Mr. Martin was born on October 9, 1932, in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Dan A. and Florice L. Martin. Fay was a retired Plant Manager at Kenville in Lilesville, N.C. and was also the past owner of Carolina Nu-Way, Inc. Fay was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the S.C. National Guard and a member of American Legion Post 74, where he was the sergeant-at-arms. Fay was a member of Oakland Baptist Church, and the Chairman of the Monthly Prayer Breakfast. He was also the "Mayor" of the Moore's Drive-In Breakfast Table and a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Fay enjoyed fishing, golfing, mowing grass, and weekend farming. In addition to his parents, Fay was also preceded in death by four sisters,Violet Woodard, Helen Bonnett, Vera Martin, and Louise Kelly; and three brothers, Howard Martin, John "Son" Martin, and Ray Martin.


SURVIVORS:
His loving wife: Edith Phillips Martin of the home
2 Sons: Phillip (Carol) Martin of Taylors, SC and Danny Martin of Ruby, SC
He was blessed with three grandchildren: Daniel Gantt Martin (Brooke), Courtney Martin Driver (Andrew), and Kelsey Ann Martin.
Two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Zearfoss and Ruby Martin
Also: numerous nieces and nephews.
