Ms. Debra Boss Brock, age 48, entered into rest on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be 6:00 PM Sunday, September 17, 2023 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor with the eulogy being delivered by Angie Hannum. The family will greet friends from 5:00 – 6:00 PM Sunday, prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Brittany & Timmy Jordan, S. Scotch Road, Chesterfield, SC.

Debra completed her education at Conway High School and further pursued her passion for nursing at Northeastern Technical College, where she received her nursing degree. With dedication and commitment, she served as an employee at Scottish Pines of Laurinburg for over 10 years. 

            Known for her selflessness, Debra always placed others before herself. Her love for animals held a special place in her heart, demonstrating her kindness towards all living creatures. Debra found solace in the peacefulness of fishing and the thrill of surfing. A lover of music, Debra enjoyed various genres but held a particular fondness for classic rock and enjoyed live concerts.

Survivors include her daughter, Bella Grace Black, and her father, Lance Black of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Sally J. Boss and husband, Kevin White of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Angie Williamson Hannum of Conway, SC; brother, Tom (Jamie) Herman of Myrtle Beach, SC; nieces, Brittany (Timmy) Jordan of Chesterfield, SC, Emily Grace Williams of Morven, NC, Ryder Hannum and Skyler Hannum both of Conway, SC; great nephew, Lex Jordan; great niece, Ellie Kate Jordan; significant other, Matt Gray of Cheraw; in addition to numerous extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family is establishing a college fund trust in Bella’s name at Woodforest National Bank, Cheraw, SC 843-537-5404.
