Deborah "Debbie" Joyce Merriman

Cheraw, SC

Mrs. Deborah “Debbie” Joyce Merriman, age 72, entered into rest on Monday, February 12, 2024 at her home. A Celebration of Life service will be 4:00 PM Sunday, February 18, 2024 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Mark Phillips and Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM Sunday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Merriman was born February 12, 1952 in Wadesboro, NC a daughter of the late Billy and Helen Atkinson Allen. She was a loving homemaker who took care of children her entire life. Debbie enjoyed working with crafts and watching her “stories” every day. A lady who loved her family deeply, she was always looking for ways to spoil them. Of all things that brought her enjoyment, being “Me-Me” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Merriman was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Ronnie Lucas Merriman; son, Bucky Merriman; brother, Paul Allen; and nephew, B.J. Allen.

Survivors include her children, Lee Merriman, and Wendy (Dougie) Boan both of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Jamie Boan (Debra) of Loris, SC, Amber Boan of Cheraw, SC and best friend, Leann McGowan; great grandchildren, Chandler, Miranda, and Kaylee; brother, Kip (Christy) Allen of Cheraw, SC; brothers-in-law, Freddie (Helen) Gaskins of North, SC, and Bennie Gaskins of Chesterfield, SC.
